Reports indicate that Laughlin and the boy had their sexual relationship in her classroom before school began, with Laughlin performing oral sex on the boy. Lucky little bastard.
Laughlin has reportedly resigned from the school and has since (presumably before this incident) accepted a teaching job in Michigan. Her bond was set at $200,000, noting that she is a flight risk due to her ties to Michigan, with her fiance living there.

Maggie Laughlin has pleaded guilty to 8 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a juvenile. Laughlin faces up to 1 and a half years in prison when she is sentenced later in August, 2008. According to her guilty plea testimony, Laughin said "I became involved with a student and the relationship became sexual in nature and I performed oral sex on him".
